What kind of impact would we make if 1,500 of us volunteered on the same day? Join fellow alumni (from Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Cornell, and other universities) for a huge city-wide community service event on June 7 and find out!
All ages, alumni, family, friends welcome! We'll dig in at an urban green space then enjoy food/drinks/music at the after party at Seattle Center. Registration includes project, party, and event fee. Every year, Seattle Works Day brings together thousands of volunteers
to do work projects across the city. This year, Seattle Works Day is Saturday,
June 7, from noon to 3:30 pm, with a party afterwards at Seattle Center, 3:30 - 5:30 pm.
Participants serve in nonprofits, parks, schools, green spaces, and generally perform tasks like gardening, painting, cleaning, habitat restoration and sorting donations. This year we expect to perform a Community Service Project at an urban green space (TBA via email). All projects take place in Seattle.
TO PARTICIPATE YOU MUST DO TWO THINGS:
(1) PLEASE SIGN UP HERE:
https://seattleworks.ejoinme.org/MyPages/TeamRegistrationPage/tabid/84553/Default.aspx
When asked "Which team are you signing up for?" make sure to select: "Alumni Clubs In Seattle/All-Alumni/Stanford etc - Team Captain Spencer Looney"
(2) ALSO RSVP on Facebook
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=25506932504
OR RSVP to Spencer Looney '94 at svlooney@yahoo.com
Proceeds benefit Seattle Works and support their year-round community engagement programs. Seattle Works is a 501c nonprofit that informs, connects, and inspires people in their 20s and 30s to take action in our community. For more information on this great organization:

Fine Print: For liability reasons, parents may bring high school-age children, but each child has to be accompanied by a parent/adult (in a one-to-one ratio). If you'd like to bring people under 18, please email the Seattle Works Day contact: jan@seattleworks.org
However, this year the afterparty has an all-ages section for those under 21. Hope to see
you there!
