Details

The SCW has arranged for a guided tour of the latest exhibit at the Frye Art Museum:
William Cumming's Art
The Image of Consequence
,
a 70-year Retrospective.

The exhibit brings together an unprecedented body of work to the Frye Art Museum as part of the representational art of our time. Noted guest curator Matthew Kangas assembles 130 paintings, prints, sculputures and photographs from 1935 to present in an attempt to bring American and Northwest art history of the mid-twentieth century into focus.

Note: The Frye is offering this private tour with the docent reserved for us, so please honor your RSVP by attending at the indicated time. Thank you.

Afterwards, you are invited to take a self-guided tour of the additional exhibits: Spectatorship and Desire, and Frye Modern, both of which examine the founding and the curious history of the Frye Art Museum's manner of displaying its collection.

The museum is open till 5pm.
