Cardinal Young Alumni of Washington - Seattle (C-YA) is an active group of Stanford
alumni who get together on a regular basis to have fun and enjoy each others'
company. The Young Alum Pub NIghts are a regular favorite. Open to all,
the events are sometimes held with other school alumni groups. To receive

Join us on November 20 at 6:00pm at The Black Bottle for a multi-school alumni dinner including alums from Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Penn, and other colleges.
We have reserved Black Bottle's swanky new private party room for a casual dinner. Black Bottle has an extensive wine list, full bar, and an array of tapas-style small plates, good for sharing or for those that don't want a large dinner.
Please RSVP by Monday November 17 if you would like to attend! Capacity is limited for dinner, so please RSVP as soon as possible. (If you would like to come but can't get there quite at 6pm, let us know so we can make sure to reserve space for you.) If you say "Hail Stanford" at the ticket booth, it's $6 (instead of $8). You may

improv group is returning from a performance at Toronto's International Improv
Festival and features Stanford alum Jed Rose '03! The audience takes the lead,
with suggestions that spark improvisations created on-the-spot by the cast.
There's comedy, music, and much, much more.

Come and practice for that Jeopardy tryout, test your knowledge against Seattle's biggest brains, use those random facts stuck in your head, or just meet up with old and new friends. This is always a fun event that draws over 100 people. Fado will have happy hour prices for us, including $2.95 appetizers and $4 Newcastles. And of course there will be prizes (and bragging rights) for the winning teams! Live music after trivia by the Kennedy Brothers. We'll form teams at Fado, so all you have to do is show up and play! SECOND ANNUAL INTERCOLLEGIATE ALUMNI TRIVIA DAY
Trivial Pursuit addicts and aspiring Jeopardy contestants unite! Come
join
over 20 college alumni clubs (from Pac 10, Ivy League, Big 10, etc.) for
an
afternoon/evening of trivia, food, drinks, fun, and hanging out with fellow
young alums. We'll make teams of 6 to 8 folks for multiple rounds of trivia
questions. (No need to make teams ahead of time. Just bring your friends
and fellow alums and play!) There will be prizes and/or free beer for
the winners.

The annual Pac-10 Alumni Pub Crawl will take place at the following Fremont
watering holes, for approximately an hour or hour and a half per location.
The
event will start at the Red Door at 6:00pm. Most of the establishments
have
food or one sort or another, so you can keep yourself fed as well as watered.
The event organizer is Robyn McAllister from Arizona State (look for a

and gold ASU Hawaiian print shirt).

WEEKEND
OF JUNE 21: WEEKEND OUTING IN THE CASCADES
Join fellow young alumni for a summer outing in the nearby Cascades. The
organizer is Stanford alum Rami Haddad. Join in for the day, stay for
the
night, or even better join in all weekend :-)

Activities: biking, hiking, camping
the fun is yours to choose!
Location: Colonial Creek Campground, North Cascades National Park (approx
2
hrs away)
Cost: approx $20 campsite permits & gas & arrangement of shared
equipment.
Food and rental equipment are extra.
As part of the trip, Rami will be doing a 100 mile bike ride in support
of the
Washington National Park Fund (WNPF). For biking, feel free to join in
to
either the 30-mile course, 50-mile course, or go the full distance for
the
century ride. For hiking, others will be hiking on the nearby trails that
also
offer spectacular views during the same time. Afterwards, we can all join
up
for a dinner feast and a campsite fire.
